Quran Reflection is a reflective and interactive discussion on one's personal understanding of selected Quranic verses, themes, or stories. Appropriate for adult women & men. Please bring along your favorite Quran/books/material to reference.
The 2023-2024 schedule is titled "Courting Controversy". Each month we will examine particular verses/subject matter in the Qur'an that have ignited controversy and intense debate, that have affected politics and social norms, or that have been villainized or weaponized to either the benefit or detriment of the Muslim Ummah.

QUR’AN REFLECTIONS GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Reflect together upon the Quran in a spirit of
Respect: For all books/people/traditions held in esteem by a participant, whether one agrees with it or not.
Honesty: Express your own truth and convey how the Quran becomes relevant in your personal realm.
Empathy: Listen without judgment. Listen to the other person's truth.
Dialogue: Seek common grounds. Do not feel the pressure to be right like in a debate.
