We hope you are as excited as we are for Ramadan this year! We've got a lot of great events planned for you and your families, and we hope you do get the most out of this blessed month. Whether you are currently in the Austin area or anywhere in the world you will find a variety of events to participate in. Ramadan Prep Session
Join us for an interactive session on how to Prepare for Ramadan. With less than a month to go it’s time to get focus on your spiritual preparation, your physical preparation, and your charitable preparation.
This event is led by Imam Asim and will be held on Sunday, February 23rd from 1:30 - 3:30 pm CST at the Austin Presbyterian Seminary.

Community Iftar
Sunday, March 9th at 7:30 pm CST
Join us for an iftar to break our Ramadan fast and connect with one another. Doors open at 7:15pm and Maghrib will be at 7:36pm.
This will take place at COTS (3402 Little Elm Trail, Cedar Park 78613) and is open to all.

Zakat and Community Service
Zakat Donations
Now is the time to consider paying your Zakat al-Fitr ($12/person). Muslim Space can assist in distributing your donation appropriately before Eid inshAllah. We also accept and distribute Fidya ($12/missed fasting day) and general Zakat. Your charity stays local to help those in our community who need it most.

This is an opportunity for community members to provide a hot meal and dose of humanity to our unhoused sisters and brothers in Austin.

In-person Dhikr Sessions will be held weekly at Casa de Luz between Asr & Maghrib
Ramadan Halaqa: Moving Forward
Muslim Space invites you to participate in a new, 4-part Ramadan halaqa titled Moving Forward: Seeking God in the Midst of Chaos. In a world filled with turmoil and bloodshed, how do we navigate our path towards God without losing hope or straying.
The event will be interactive and following the presentation there will be a Q&A session.

Eid!
Eid al-Fitr Service
Join us for an in-person Eid service on Sunday, March 30th at 9am.
We will gather at 9:00 am for the Takbir then followed by prayer and Eid khutbah. Light refreshments will be served following the service. No need to register
Prayer rugs will be laid out but we encourage you to bring yours as well.

Muslim Space follows the Fiqh Council of North America in determining dates of the Islamic calendar. They have issued the following information with regards to Ramadan 1446/2025.
Ramadan 1446 AH: The Astronomical New Moon is on Friday, Feb 28, 2025, at 0:44 Universal Time. On that day, the elongation is more than 8 degrees and the moon is more than 5 degrees above the sun everywhere in North America. Therefore, the first day of fasting for Ramadan 1446 is on Saturday, March 1, 2025 insha'Allah. Tarawih prayer will start on Friday night Feb 28th, 2025
Eidul-Fitr 1446 AH: The Astronomical New Moon is on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:57 Universal Time. On that day, the elongation is more than 8 degrees and the moon is more than 5 degrees above the sun in most of North America. Hence the first day of Shawwal and Eid in North America is on Sunday, March 30, 2025 insha'Allah.
