Ramadan 1447/2026
Muslim Space follows the Fiqh Council of North America in determining dates of the Islamic calendar. They have issued the following information with regards to Ramadan 1447/2026.
Ramadan 1447 AH: The Astronomical New Moon will be born on the evening of Tuesday, February 17, 2026. So, the first day of Ramadan is Wednesday, February 18, 2026, insha’Allah. Tarawih prayer will start on Tuesday night Feb 17th, 2026
Eidul-Fitr 1447 AH: The Astronomical New Moon will be born on the evening of Thursday, March 19th, 2026. On that evening the elongation is more than 8 degrees and the moon is more than 5 degrees above the sun. Hence the first day of Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr) is Friday, March 20th, 2026, insha’Allah.

Muslim Space wants to supply you and your kiddo some Ramadan-themed craft projects to keep you busy. We will host 4 virtual sessions, one on each Saturday in Ramadan at 11:00 am CST where one of our Crafting Specialists will guide you through a simple project.
Each $15 kit will include the bulk of the materials needed. You will be asked to provide only the basics like glue, scissors, tape, etc.

This service project is a family affair scheduled for March 8, 2025, at the Central Texas Food Bank (Food Bank). We invite adults and children to assist in feeding our neighbors in need. Appropriate for ages 8 and up.

Therefore, the first day of fasting for Ramadan 1446 is on Saturday, March 1, 2025, insha'Allah. Tarawih prayer will start on Friday night Feb 28th, 2025
Eidul-Fitr 1446 AH: The Astronomical New Moon is on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:57 Universal Time. On that day, the elongation is more than 8 degrees and the moon is more than 5 degrees above the sun in most of North America. Hence the first day of Shawwal and Eid in North America is on Sunday, March 30, 2025, insha'Allah.
