Salaam! We will be collecting Zakat al-Fitr during the blessed month of Ramadan. According to the Sunnah, Zakat al-Fitr is compulsory for every person, young and old. The amount suggested is $12 for each family member. You may pay your zakat al-fitr throughout Ramadan but it is recommended to pay it earlier rather than later. This will ensure it gets distributed prior to Eid prayer.

Inshallah, we will be distributing the collected Zakat al-Fitr in a humbling manner, serving the neediest in our community a meal with dignity and we need your help.

Two ways to help!
Project 1: We are scheduled to distribute 160 meals for our unsheltered sisters and brothers at the University Baptist Church (map) on Thursday, April 4th.
We need volunteers to help transport, pack and distribute between 3:30-7pm CST (variety of slots available)

Project 2: We will be shopping and packing grocery bags for students in need to be delivered to both Eastside and Northeast High Schools. Shopping, packing, and delivering on Monday, April 8th and Tuesday, April 9th.
